Life is always going, and some days I make the most and other days not so much. Since my last post things have gone by so quickly. So I'm taking a few minutes to reflect.
November - we had an American Thanks giving feast (or as best we could) with two other American families that attend our church. I was a lot of fun, and great food! Landon also turned 9 this year! He's a very energetic boy, who is Lego obsessed, loves reading, and has a big heart. Crazy, it really is hard to believe he's been around that long. We had a combined birthday party for him and Emma at the ice skating rink. We had a great time.
December - Emma turned 7! She is fun spirited, notices EVERYTHING (seriously nothing gets past this one), and a good sister. She also got glasses this moth, and has taken very good care of them. Then we got ready to head back to the states for Christmas (actually we left on Emma's Birthday! She got Chick-Fil-A for dinner as requested). Christmas was wonderful. We enjoyed every minute with family. We also had our stuff in storage delivered and filled our house in Texas with our furniture and things. That kept us pretty busy, but it was fun to see things come together. We were blessed to spend half our time in Texas and half in Utah. So much fun with family!
January - went by in a flash. Getting kids back into the routine and busy with Primary (in 1st counselor in the Presidency, and we had a lot of changes the first of the year).
We're already are halfway through Febuary. We had a fun week with Jimmy's Birthday and valentines Day this week. For Jimmy's Birthday the kids wanted to through him a party, so we blew up balloons, and yelled surprise when he came in. He also saw a friend from the states at work, and brought him home for dinner. Valentines Day dinner was shared with 6 missionaries. Jimmy is the Ward Mission Learder in our ward, and they needed to have a long meeting, so we fed them dinner and they had a meeting.
I just wanted to reflect for a minute on the kids.
Landon is enjoying school. His current ILT topic they're working on this term is Chocolate! And in Belgium that's a pretty fun topic. He even got to tour a chocolate factory and came home with a large goody bag! He's working on finding his place in life, but he's a good kid. When he grows up he wants to be a Lego Designer. He's playing "football" with the school, and he's currently reading Harry Potter #5. I sure do love this kid and love his enthusiasm.
Emma loves learning at school. Her current ILT topic is Famous Artists. She was able to study Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Matise, Wharhol, and a few others. She's really looking forward to our trip in April when we get to go and see Monets gardens in France. She's lost her two front top teeth this past week. She asked the tooth fairy to keep the first one (number 3 loss) and the tooth fairy let her. She is a unique little girl who tells me all the time how much she loves me. She has it written in several different diaries that she has too. She's a good sister to both siblings, and would love nothing more than for them to just play with her all the time (unless Clara is destroying things, which surprisingly isn't that often). She wants to be a vetrinarian or a teacher when she grows up.
Clara - oh Clara. She's a nut, her favorite toy is her iPad. We have to monitor her time on this. She loves to play with Legos but mainly the people, Play mobile toys! and her little people princess castle. She loves to do most anything her siblings are doing. She also loves to dress in costumes and for a week had a thing for yellow socks. I couldn't het her to take them off. She's finally talking a lot (still not super clear, but it's nice to communicate with her). She also is doing this funny thing when you say something she parrots what you say in a deep voice. Emma got some roller skarptes for her birthday and she keeps putting them on wanting to skate. She can get around a bit she makes me nervous when she gets them on herself and skates into the room (not well, but she can do it). We don't let her go solo, but she loves it. She's a nut, keeps us laughing, and is a super easy kid.
I love our little family.
