Yes, another trip to Disneyland. This is one of our families favorite places to go. Honestly Jimmy and I can't get enough of it, and the kids love it just as much. We have made many great family memories there, and will continue to do so.
This trip took a little different turn for us. Just after our trip to Paris Jimmy got a call from his boss that he had a unique job opportunity for him. A position to work abroad in Spain. Jimmy served his mission for our church in Guatemala so he speaks Spanish. The more we talked about it the more we liked the idea. The week of our trip to California they asked Jimmy to come for an interview.
So I traveled to California with the kids by myself. Mind you I was still early in the pregnancy sick, and we didn't leave until 8 p.m. our time thinking when we bought the tickets the kids could just sleep. Then I get there and have to get the rental car just after midnight and get to our hotel! Whew, thankfully everything we super smoothly and the kids were angels. The next day Jimmy was traveling in from Spain to LA, and the kids and I went on with our plans. We went to Legoland with out Jimmy. As sad as we were to not be there with him, we had a great time! This place is definitely a must visit if you love Lego's and or amusement parks. We really enjoyed the day here. There were a few things we were not able to do as a party of 3, some rides you needed an adult per child. So we will just have to make another trip here someday.
While the kids and I were at Legoland, Jimmy made his way to our hotel. We left mid afternoon and picked up a very tired Jimmy. We all got into our costumes and high tailed it over to Disneyland for Mickey's "Not So Scary" Halloween Party. A fun night filled with people in costumes, characters in costumes (Mickey dressed up as a Vampire, Goofy was a Skeleton), parades just for the party, and trick or treating. We had a reservation for Emma to get her Princess Hair done at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Such a fun experience. They do girls hair, make up, and nails. The kids actually didn't want to participate in too many of the Halloween things, they just wanted to ride the rides. That's mostly what we did and we found ourselves riding the rides quickly because we had no lines. But as soon as the last parade was over the lines got long! We had just a quick weekend to pack it all in, but we had a great time. Most importantly Jimmy made it and we got to be there as a family. What a fun trip.
