DISNEYLAND, WARNING LOTS OF PHOTOS!

Well, well, well. Disneyland! What can I say, I hate being back to reality from the "Happiest Place on Earth." It was wonderful. We had such a great time. Part of the timing of our trip was we wanted to go in the off season, but we heard a rumor back in the fall that Lance Armstrong one of the worlds best cyclists was making a comeback this year. And since Jimmy and I couldn't figure out a way to get to the Tour de France we settled for the Tour de California.

Jimmy found out the day of the time trial and set the trip around that. We wanted a time trial so we could see each bike rider individually instead of one big group zooming by. It was great! We loved it. Jimmy found a great park about 2 miles into the course. The park kept the kids occupied and we got to enjoy the race. The kids watched most of the race by our side. They had a lot of fun cheering the bikers on too. We came home and watched the footage that we recorded on T.V. and we made it on the show! When they filmed Lance Armstrong going right by our park there we are filming him on the side of the road, and Landon was jumping up and down saying "Go Lance Go!" Pretty cool.

We got to spend that afternoon at the beach, the weather was nice, but the water was cold. Emma found that out quickly. A wave took her out about 5 minutes of being there. She was so cold but didn't want to go. But she didn't want to go play with the water any more. She wanted to chase the birds and dig in the sand. Landon on the other hand couldn't get enough of the water. He took several spills in the water himself but just kept going.

And then we got to Disneyland! We spent two full days in both parks. And we couldn't get enough. We went on almost all the rides, I think we did every ride except Space Mountain that Landon could ride on. He even went on the Tower of Terror! He went in brave but came out a little scared. His favorite ride was Soring over California. And we caught a couple of shows. We went to "Turtle Talk with Crush", "Disney Playhouse", "Muppets 3D". These were all fun and very nice to sit in a nice cool dark place. The only disappointment was there were no fireworks this time of the year and no parade in the Disney park.

Another favorite part of the trip was Landon got to ride on the Star Tours ride (Which he loved) and right after we went to the Jedi Training Acadamy. Landon was picked (only about 25 kids are picked) to be a padawan. Landon was wearing his Jedi costume that we bought a couple of weeks before when we read there was this show at the park. He was walked right on stage to be front and center right next to the Jedi Master. The kids got trained and then a disturbance in the force appeared. The kids ran off stage and the stage started to rise and Darth Vader appeared! Along with Darth Maul. It was pretty cool. They tried to convince the kids to join the dark side, and then the kids had to test their jedi skills. They were put into two lines and had to fight either Darth Vader or Darth Maul. Landon was brought out on stage first to fight Darth Vader. At the end they defeted Darth Vader, and got a certificite stating that they completed Jedi Training. It was awesome for a little boy who is obcessed with Star Wars. He loved it. If I figure out how to download my video I'll post it on here.

Other than that we just had a great time, loved being with my family. And we are happy to be in our own beds, but wish we could go to the park in the morning! Hope you enjoy the pictures! Audrey

Meeting Snow White! Meeting the princesses a big deal for both kids. Landon loved the princesses and talking with them. Emma the whole first day kept asking for princesses. And we didn't get to them till the second day. She was cranky and it took two princesses before Snow White for her to even walk up by herself. Aurora and Cinderella were left out in the cold. Which was strange to Jimmy and I Aurora and Cinderella seem to be her favorites with her toys. But now she loves Snow White.
